#28 - The mining expedition

So I'll mine these emotions. Bleed them dry and squeeze every last drop from them.

I can't make them go away,

but I'll make them worth it.

#27 - Take me by the hand

The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours. -The History Boys, Alan Bennett

#26 - Not worth an affair

And you're not stealing me from Today.

#25 - On the tip of my tongue

I would almost tell you that I like being around you, that you make me smile, and that you make me feel less alone.

But I'm scared of what you might think. Or that you might not even care.

“The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.” -M. Scott Peck
